When Samantha and her family moved into their dream home in 2017, they knew it would be a labour of love that would need updating gradually, and set to renovate the property one room at a time to bring their dream home to life.
With the property having not seen any decor updates since the 1980s, the space was longing for some TLC. Samantha and her family embraced the challenge, deciding to restore the home's charm while infusing it with their own personal style.
As regular returning customers, the family have used Stone Superstore tiles throughout their home renovation journey, helping to transform the family bathroom, through to the ensuite and down to the kitchen and laundry areas.
“After renovating the whole house only one room remained – the kitchen! We knew that this was going to be a big job as it involved building an extension in place of an existing leaky conservatory and then knocking this new space, the existing dining room and kitchen, all into one large open plan kitchen/dining area.”
Samantha, aka. Mrs Roobottom, wanted to continue using the Dijon Tumbled Limestone for her new kitchen area, that she’d previously used within the laundry room, to create a cohesive flooring that runs between the joined spaces.
“I love everything about this tile – the colour, the inclusions (my boys love hunting for flecks of iron and fossils in the tiles), how it feels underfoot... I knew before we even knocked one wall down that they would be the perfect tiles for the kitchen.”
